THIS IS OUR STORY.
1975-2025

Grays Harbor Foursquare Church has reached it's
50th Anniversary. From a small home church to a congregation that continues to grow, we are so proud of our story. Let us share it with you!

"This is where I started to believe in Jesus...this place holds a special place in my heart."

- Landon L, age 10

"I am grateful for the people that have laid the foundations and poured their lives into this ministry...who founded the church on Godly principles and a steadfast belief that truth prevails"

- Dean B.

"(These people) really came alongside me and helped me to find my way back to Christ"

- Dan A.

OUR VOICES.  OUR EXPERIENCES.  OUR HOME.

Our story wouldn't be complete without the testimonies of our family.
From the early days of the church to current members, these are our stories that make up why we are proud to be a part of Grays Harbor Foursquare's history.

In the Beginning

Founded by Devin and Jane Backholm

Jane felt like the young boy with the fish and loaves; she brought what she had in surrender and expectation. Devin had an unction from the Spirit that he had to start a church in Grays Harbor.

In 1975, Jane was prayer walking in Hoquiam, led by the Lord, when she found herself by a seemingly empty church. She later brought the team with her and they began asking the Lord for the building.

The Lord spoke to Pastor Ralston to give his church building to a man from the South. Gail Bryan walked into a meeting that he was at and the Lord told Pastor Ralston, "The man of God is here today." The keys to the building that Devin, Jane and Gail had prayed for were given to them. We praise the mighty works of the Lord!
OUR TIMELINE
1975 - The church was built on prayer and the word, and Rhema Fellowship was born.

1984 - After careful consideration and prayer, the congregation went different ways - Rhema Fellowship and Montesano Christian Center (later became Harbor Christian Fellowship).

1988 - The two churches came back together forming Christian Life Fellowship.

2009 - Christian Life Fellowship became Grays Harbor Foursquare Church.

Who We Are Today

Family led by open handed leaders who’s stance is to always develop Christ-centered and Spirit-led disciples.
This church lives by the motto:
“Mission First - People Always.”

What We Do Now

Endeavor to make disciples that are transformed by the power of Christ and in turn honor Him with their daily lives.
The end goal is the glory of the Lord to fill the Harbor and wherever His saints are sent.

Our Hope for the Harbor

Holy Spirit Revival, more churches - not less, that are rooted in truth and honor the name of the Lord.
